Adrian and Eubulus decided to visit the Christians in Caesarea during the time of persecution by Emperor Diocletian.
However, the guards prevented them from entering and questioned them. The two martyrs, knowing the laws of God, They did not lie and told them that they had gone to visit the Christians.
The guards arrested the two saints and brought them before Firmilianus, governor of Palestine. He ordered them mercilessly whipped and then torn to pieces by iron hooks so that the lions could easily attack them.
Two days later, while the festivities in honor of the goddess Fortuna were being celebrated, Adrian was beheaded by order of the governor after a lion had seriously injured him.
Eubulus was also beheaded in the following days. Although the judge promised him freedom in exchange for sacrificing to idols, he chose to die true to his beliefs.
When is San Adrian celebrated?

🙏 Prayer to Saint Adrian Santo 🙏
Almighty Father,
you who filled San Adrián with love and hope
while being tortured by heretics,
give us strength so that the bad deeds
of others do not defeat us.
He shed his blood for the infinite love he feels for you and
He endured all kinds of mistreatment thanks to the strength you gave him.
Therefore, we ask you,
through his intercession,
that you bless us so that we are
Witnesses of that love
AMEN
