By Debbie McDaniel.- Fear: One of the most popular weapons the enemy uses against us.
Worry, anxiety, fear… can overwhelm us with a thick shadow of darkness, controlling our every move and decision.
So many crazy things around us today: wars, conflicts, persecution, violence, crime, natural disasters, terrorism, economic uncertainty, unemployment, divisions, disease, death.
We fear for our children’s future, we fear for our families, we fear for our financial future, we fear for our safety.. The long list goes on…. In fact, there is a lot we could worry about.
However, reality tells us that much of our time where we spend worrying never happens.
Living under the weight of the “what if” is a hard place to dwell. I struggled with fear and worry for years. But over time, I began to find that things that once would have sent me into an anxious spiral no longer had the same effect. It didn’t happen quickly, but over days, months, years.
I read the words, of life, of truth. Soaking myself in, over and over again, praying out loud. Until they have become so familiar that they replaced the other things on my mind that I had struggled against.
There is nothing magical in words and verses, but there is power through them, because they are the words of God.
1-«Do not fear, because I am with you; do not faint, because I am your God that I strive for you; I will always help you, I will always uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness “, Isaiah 41: 10.
two-«In love there is no fear, but perfect love casts out fear; because fear carries within itself punishment. From where he who fears has not been perfected in love “, 1 John 4: 18.
3-“In the multitude of my thoughts within me, your consolations made my soul happy “, Psalms 94: 19.
4-“Because God has not given us a spirit of cowardice, but of power, of love, and of a sound mind,” 2 Timothy 1:7.
5-“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, because you will be with me; Your rod and your staff will give me breath.” Psalms 23:4.
6-“The anguish in the heart of man knocks him down; but a good word makes him happy “, Proverbs 12: 25.
7-“So, do not worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will bring its eagerness. Sufficient to each day its own evil “Matthew 6: 34.
8-“Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, so that he may exalt you when it is time; Casting all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you,” 1 Peter 5:6-7.
9-“Say to the weak-hearted: strive, do not fear; behold, your God comes with retribution, with payment; God himself will come, and he will save you », Isaiah 35: 4.

god is greater
He gives us the power to live bravely, boldly, without fear in this life, when many things around us would tell us to be afraid. His truth whispers loud and sure to the deepest of our spirits.
All those things on your mind? Give them to Him again. Replace those fearful thoughts with his words of truth. Sleep in peace tonight. He knows what worries you, He keeps you.
