20 ways to avoid sexual temptation

If there is an area of ​​life that we live and fight battles in, it is the sexual area. So that you are not overcome by temptation, see 20 tips to avoid sexual immorality:

1.-Discover what pleases God. This is a commandment from Ephesians 5:10 and is part of what it means to live a life of love, just as Christ loved us.

2.-Find out what God’s will is for your life. 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 says, “It is God’s will that you be sanctified: Refrain from sexual immorality. Each one knows how to control his own body in a holy and honorable way, not with the passion of unbridled desire, like the pagans who do not know God. That says everything.

3.-The battle begins in the mind. You need to know what God says about sex and be careful what you fill your mind with. The imagination is often the bed where sin is born.

4.-Pray. This is also a spiritual battle. Trust in God and the power of the Holy Spirit to strengthen you in this battle. (Matthew 6:13, 2 Timothy 2:22, James 5:16)

10.-It can resist. “God is faithful; he will not allow them to be tempted beyond what they can bear», (1 Corinthians 10: 13b).

11.-Know that God provides a way out. “But when you are tempted, he will provide you with an escape, so that you can endure it” (1 Corinthians 10:13c).

12.-Dead to sin and alive for God. Christians are people who died for sin (knowing that sin leads to death) and now live for God (knowing that this leads to eternal life (Romans 6:11-14).

13.-Remember the cross. Jesus died for our sins, including our sexual sins.
