CHRISTIANNEWS.COM.- On Monday, there was a shooting at a supermarket in the town of Boulder, Colorado, which left 10 dead, including a police officer.
The attack occurred at 2:30 p.m. local time (20:30 GMT) at a King Soopers supermarket in Boulder.
Police vehicles, three helicopters and SWAT special forces personnel arrived at the scene.
The police officers communicated with the assailant through a loudspeaker and demanded that he surrender as he was surrounded.
The police took the alleged assailant from the store, who was wounded and partially naked, according to a video captured by one of the witnesses to the event.
Another similar event occurred 5 km from the supermarket, police officers contained another armed man, however, this encounter did not leave fatalities.
The governor of Colorado expressed his shock at the shooting through his Twitter account: “My heart is broken as we watch this horrible event in our Boulder community.”
Just under a week ago, a 21-year-old man fatally shot eight people in an Atlanta massage parlor, six of the victims were Asian women.
