.- Pastor Daniel Nunes, president of the Assembly of God in Campina Grande, Paraíba, Brazil, made a controversial statement during an event of the evangelical church.
The event took place this Wednesday, May 11, in the central temple, and Daniel was one of the speakers. During his preaching, the religious defended sound doctrine and criticized the new institutions called “Assembly of God”, which, according to him, allow everything, reports Fuxico Gospel.
“These days came from these new Assemblies of God churches, which are there and accept everything. Women who want to wear earrings and tight pants, men who want to wear long hair, makeup, or wear earrings, it all runs there,” the pastor said.
Likewise, he added: “I told the pastors, these churches are a blessing, because they come and clean up this garbage, and they take away our problems. Take that garbage out of there and leave whatever you want to be holy in the word. Glory to God”.
The entire event was broadcast on the church’s YouTube and Daniel Nunes’s speech had a negative impact on the Internet.
“I don’t see anything authoritative, but rather a lack of wisdom in words,” commented one netizen.
A follower did not agree with the pastor’s speech and fired: “I don’t agree either! No one should be called trash. I was part of the Assembly of God for many years, I have enormous affection for this church.
In addition, he added: “But a fact that I greatly regret is the rapprochement of certain people who congregate in it, who end up driving people away instead of conquering them.”
Despite this, there were also those who agreed with what the pastor said about the faithful who leave the denomination.
“Amen. Glory to God. I am glad to know that they still preserve the uses and customs”, expressed a follower.
