CHRISTIANNEWS.COM.- An episode of the “Crime Storie” program reported on the death of a baby who was subjected by his mother to a vegan diet and supposedly justified in the Bible, reports foxnews.
The chapter of the program was dedicated to the death of Kameri Garriques, a seven-month-old baby found dead after a 911 call, reports The News York Post.
The woman named Carla, confessed that she had subjected her baby to a vegan diet justified in the Bible and that she did not give him any type of milk since it caused fungus in his mouth.
Carla took out her Bible and showed the The News York Post why the Word justified his eating method: “Vegan means everything in this Bible,” he said.
In addition, Carla indicated that she is a very wise woman and that she reads the Scriptures.
Crime
Carla denied that the baby was malnourished, but her mother denied her and indicated that the child was small.
For its part, the Medical Examiner’s Office indicated that Kameri’s death is a murder, and the authorities suspect that the child suffered from malnutrition.
Carla is considered a possible murderer, according to the authorities, but there is no formal charge against the woman.
The presenter of the program “Crime Storie” Nancy Grace assured that Carla tried to flee when it was discovered that the cause of the baby’s death was malnutrition.
For her part, the lawyer and head of the Family Violence Unit of the Prince George’s County State Attorney’s Office, Melissa Hoppmeyer, assures that the baby’s death is a premeditated crime.
«It shows a clear conscience of guilt. I think it’s important evidence, not just for the investigation but for the prosecution to prove later that this wasn’t accidental, it wasn’t because she doesn’t know how to raise kids. This is because she made a decision and was premeditated in that decision,” Hoppmeyer said.
