.- A video shared on social networks shows the moment when hundreds of birds fell. Most of them already dead, on houses and a street in Mexico.
The images were recorded by security cameras and show the moment when the birds, of the Yellow-headed Graúna species, with the scientific name of Xanthocephalus, mysteriously fall, reports Gospel Prime.
The video went viral on social media. This sparked speculation about what might have caused the birds’ strange deaths and whether they might pose a risk to the local population.
Some even claimed that it could be a biblical prophecy, like those described in the book Exodus.
In the images it can be seen that some of these animals are still capable of recovering their flight, but the majority are on the ground.
A zootechnical veterinarian was in the region and noted that the birds, which typically migrate from northern Canada to northern Mexico, where they spend the winter, could become disoriented after inhaling toxic gases or even after receiving an electric shock.
However, no definitive answer has been given. The specialists await the autopsy report carried out on various animals to find out what really happened.
