Bible Verses to Comfort at Funerals [Gloria de Dios]

Losing a family member or friend is very painful, especially if their departure with the Lord was so sudden and you didn’t get to say goodbye. Even so, you can say a few last words at the wake, to all the loved ones present. It is a difficult time, words do not usually flow as one wants to be able to express how valuable that person was in your life.

That’s why I want to share one List of bible verses that deal with death and resurrection. They are words of God to comfort the family and to all attendees, to feel calm because the deceased (your name) will be with Christ sharing eternal life.

Verses to say at funerals and thus comfort the pain of the family

And when this corruptible has clothed itself with incorruption, and this mortal has clothed itself with immortality, then the word that is written will be fulfilled: Death is swallowed up in victory. Where, O death, is your sting? Where, oh grave, your victory? for the sting of death is sin, and the power of sin, the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Corinthians 15:54-57

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Matthew 5:4
