Bombing in Syria Linked to Bible Prophecy

SYRIA.- The eyes of the whole world are on Syria after the latest attacks it has received this week. The first of them, the chemical attack and the second, the bombing of a military air base. There are those who think that this could be the start of a third world war, although, for this to happen, there would also have to be attacks in countries like Iran and South Korea.

According to the Spanish newspaper RT es cites a Bible prophecy related to Syria: “Behold, Damascus will cease to be a city and will become a heap of ruins”, Isaias 17: 1. Damascus is the capital of Syria.

“The strength of Ephraim and the sovereignty of Damascus and the rest of Syria will disappear,” the text also adds, but it also indicates that when Syria is destroyed, the people of Israel will be left without strength and will lose all their wealth.

Regarding this theory, experts who have debated it over the years have even stated that if the Syrian government falls and the Islamists come to power, Israel’s security will be considerably harmed. In addition, there are those who claim that this prophecy was already fulfilled when the Assyrians defeated the Arameans and occupied their capital, Damascus, in the year 732 BC.

Also, it is said that it has not yet been fulfilled, since, at no time, in the passing of 5 thousand years, has Damascus been depopulated.

58 people killed in chemical attack

Last Tuesday the 4th, more than 58 people, including children, lost their lives and dozens were injured after a chemical attack in the city of Khan Shijun, in the south of the northern Syrian province of Idlib.

Some of those injured in the attack carried out by unidentified aircraft had symptoms of suffocation, vomiting and difficulty breathing.

This Thursday the 6th, the second atrocious act took place, when the Syrian base Ash Sha’irat, located in the Syrian province of Homs, was bombarded by 59 Tomahawk missiles, which were launched from two warships in the Mediterranean Sea.

This attack was confirmed by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, who expressed his need.

“(Bashar Al) Asad drowned the defenseless,” the President pointed out against the Syrian president, in a brief appearance after the attack.

For Trump, this attack on Syria is “in the best interests of the national security” of the US, after Assad started the civil war in his country.

The US attack comes a day after the unfortunate chemical attack, also in Syria, where more than 80 people died.
