Synopsis
Karol II is the continuation of Karol, the man who became Pope. He tells the story, from 1978 onwards, of the first man from an eastern country elected Pope and the role he played in the end of Communism, despite suffering an assassination attempt that tried to silence him. The story narrates how he continued his pontificate with courage despite the illness that little by little was undermining his life. He never hid his physical suffering, but he fought to the end against war and violence.
