Causes controversial billboard for comparing Trump to Jesus Christ

.- A billboard in Tennessee that compared former President Donald Trump to Jesus Christ was removed after a backlash from the Christian community.

The billboard, which was located at Fort Oglethorpe, included a photograph of Trump on the right side and the Bible verse Isaiah 9:6 in the middle in capital letters: “To us is given a Son and the government will be on his shoulders.” . Additionally, an American flag comprised the background.

Christians see the verse, Isaiah 9:6, as a prophecy that awaits the Christ Child. The billboard did not include the first words of the verse: “A child is born to us.” The billboard also included the words “Joint Heirs” and “Romans 8:17.”

Christians angry by the fence

The billboard went viral on social media, with several Christians calling it a form of heresy.

Separately, the Chattanooga Times reported that Reagan Outdoor Advertising, the billboard provider, removed it last Monday.

“Apparently the billboard wasn’t around very long, but the week it was up was enough to make a lot of people mad. It may have made some people happy, but we think they may be confused about their allegiances,” wrote Clint Cooper of the Chattanooga Times.

It is not known who paid for the billboard. But Scott Hibberts, general manager of Reagan Outdoor Advertising in Chattanooga, said: “The opinions expressed on our screens belong to our advertisers,” reports Christian Headlines.
