Christian psychologist: “Parents should teach their children the faith in the first months of life”

.- Family education is one of the great concerns of Christian parents. Especially in today’s world, where disciplinary liberalism has negatively influenced the training of children and adolescents.

For Christian psychologist Marisa Lobo, this is a reality that must be dealt with from the first months of a child’s life, reports Gospel News.

“A very common question for parents is: when should I start guiding my children in the Word of God? This question arises because some think that very young children are not capable of understanding some guidelines,” she said.

In a recently published article, Marisa Lobo explains that the formation of children begins with the behavior of the parents and not with verbal guidelines.

In other words, it is necessary that the attitudes of the parents deliberately reflect the values of the Christian faith. But in a natural and routine way, so that this constitutes the basis of children’s learning from the first months.

Based on the passage from Proverbs 22:6, Christian psychologist Marisa Lobo also points out that this type of teaching in the first months of children’s lives needs to follow a routine.

Finally, the psychologist says in her article that teaching the Christian faith should be as natural as any other activity, this being the basis for successful moral and spiritual learning.

“The time of prayer during the meal, at bedtime, reading the Bible or praise, must follow a routine. It should be natural like brushing your teeth or buying bread at the bakery”, he concluded.
