The former singer of the band Calcinha Preta, says he was frustrated with what he built financially when he lived on Christian music.
“I lived 10 years in a religious ideology that only made me suffer, only made me fall,” he says.
The singer says that the main reason was financial, because what he earned with Calcinha Preta it doesn’t even compare to what he was making from Christian music.
«The evangelical world does not recognize that I am a professional singerI have to pay my bills,” he said. The singer said that he will continue to worship God, but that he is a professional and he needs to be paid for it.
“I am a worshipper, but wait, what is my profession? What did I do with my life? So I made the decision not to continue living from this work, and now I decided to live from my work (secular music), “he explained. Berg Lima who stressed that he returned to secular music, and that he has already received three proposals, to win no more than two thousand dollars. But he did not accept.
The singer said that he will return to the secular in a different way, that he will continue his career with country music. Daniel Diau was the first singer from Calcinha Preta who left Christian music and returned to the band where he has been performing throughout Brazil. And now Berg Lima, he will return to the secular, but to another type of musical genre.
Many singers coming from secular music end up feeling a big difference in personal and financial treatment. Since much more money is moved in the secular environment than in Christian music.
