CONSECRATION OF SELF TO JESUS CHRIST THROUGH MARY
(Saint Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort) O Jesus, eternal and incarnate Wisdom! True God and true man, Only Son of the Eternal Father and of Mary, ever Virgin! I adore you in the glory of the Father, throughout eternity and in the virginal womb of Mary, your Mother, at the time of your Incarnation. I thank you because, annihilating yourself, you have come into the world, a man among men and a servant of the Father, to free me from the slavery of sin. I praise and glorify you Lord, because you have lived in loving obedience to Mary, to make me her faithful disciple. Unfortunately, I have not kept the vows and promises of my baptism and I am not worthy to call myself a child of God. Therefore, I turn to the merciful intercession of your Mother, hoping to obtain through her help the forgiveness of my sins and a continuous communion with you, O Incarnate Wisdom. I salute you then, O Immaculate Mary, living temple of God: Eternal Wisdom has made her abode in you to receive the adoration of angels and men. I greet you, oh Queen of heaven and earth: all creatures are subject to you. I greet you, safe refuge of sinners: everyone experiences your great mercy. Accept the desires I have for Divine Wisdom and my total consecration. I, ____________________________________________ aware of my Christian vocation, renew today in your hands my baptismal commitments. I renounce Satan, his seductions, his pomps and his works, and I consecrate myself to Jesus Christ to carry my cross behind Him, faithfully each day to the will of the Father. In the presence of the entire heavenly court, I choose you on this day for my Mother and Teacher. I give myself and consecrate to you, as your slave, my body and my soul, my possessions both internal and external, including the value of all my good deeds, past, present and future, leaving in you, entire and complete right to dispose of me, and everything that belongs to me, without exception, according to your will, for the greater glory of God in time and in eternity. Mother of the Lord, accept this small offering of my life and present it to your Son; if He redeemed me with your collaboration, he must also now receive from your hand, the total gift of myself. Henceforth, I wish to honor and obey you in everything as your true slave. O Immaculate Heart of Mary! May I fully live this consecration to prolong in me the loving obedience of your Son and respond to the transcendental mission that God has entrusted to you in the history of salvation. Mother of mercy! Reach me the true Wisdom of God, and make me fully available to your maternal action. Place me like this, among those you love, teach, guide, feed and protect as your children. O faithful Virgin! Make me a true disciple and imitator of your Son, Wisdom Incarnate. With you, Mother and model of my life, I will reach the perfect maturity of Jesus Christ on earth and the glory of heaven, Amen, Totus Tuus!
