Prayer in difficult times like this for all humanity
Let’s keep the cry, and put all our hope that the Lord will not abandon us.
Meanwhile let us pray, keep in mind that Prayer is always a gift of God that goes out to meet man.
Let us invoke the mediation of the saints today I propose to pray to Saint Roch the pilgrim who, while in Piacenza, working in one of the hospitals, the saint contracted the deadly disease. Since he did not want to be a burden to any hospital, he decided to move to the outskirts of the city, settling in a cave. However, a dog miraculously fed him, and the animal’s owner eventually discovered San Roque giving him care and attention.
When he regained his strength, the saint returned to the city where he miraculously cured many people and numerous head of cattle. He returned to Montepellier where his uncle did not recognize him and left him abandoned. San Roque was arrested, probably because he was mistaken for a spy, and remained in jail for five years where he eventually died.
“San Roque, you who suffered from the plague, you can understand our request, appease the coronavirus, that it does not continue to spread and that scientists can achieve the vaccine.
We also pray for all those who have contracted this virus, assist them to recover their health and for the souls of those who died for this cause and grant Christian resignation to their relatives.
Finally protect us especially our loved ones and each one who invokes you, and for those who do not believe and lack faith. Amen.”
