Cristiano lost his memory and relearned about God: “I fell in love with Jesus again”

CHRISTIANNEWS.COM.- The first 32 years of Joey Gaines’ life have been completely erased from your memory. Since then, the 55-year-old American has returned to learn about God.

Joey was diagnosed with severe childhood epilepsy and he spent his life experiencing frequent epileptic seizures. By the age of 30, he had already suffered some 800 seizures, the Christian Post reports.

At 32, Joey was faced with a life and death decision: Either he would have brain surgery to cure epilepsyat the risk of losing memory, or death would be inevitable.

Since the April 13, 1999 procedure, Joey has never had another seizure, but has lost all memories Before surgery, he was a devout christian who had one intimate relationship with God.

Just two months after surgery, Joey had a personal encounter with jesus. It was this experience that awakened his curious about God again.

Joey said he saw a glowing figure with the hands covering her face. “The image stayed there for a while as I stared at it in shock. But then she disappeared and I immediately ran home; and I started looking at Google“, he recalled.

Until, in his research, Joey found information about God and began to search for more about the Christianity. looking back, He acknowledges that he saw Jesus Christ that day.

Over the next several years, Joey asked questions about Jesus with friends and family and spent many hours a day studying the Word of God to “fall in love again with his first love«.

Joey went on to serve in the Rutledge Falls Baptist Church in Coffee County. In 2012 he married Linda, who was inspired by his testimony.
