COSTA RICA.- Dante Gebel, the Argentine pastor of River Church could run for the presidency of Argentina according to a new interview with a Costa Rican newspaper.
The Extra newspaper assured Dante that he is in a ranking of celebrities in Argentina and that he is ranked number 18, to which the pastor said: “I feel that being on that list is a responsibility. I feel privileged”, but they added that he is in another ranking of Christian pastors in which he is in first place, even above Benny Hinn, Dante said that it is not a competition: “That flatters me and I know it is a Big responsibility. It is very likely that in a few years no one else will remember me, but I must take advantage of this moment to reach people.
When asked if he wanted to be president of Argentina, he was direct: “I am going to be careful with my words so as not to hurt any sensitivity. A few years ago, if they had asked me about any political aspirations, I immediately deny it, but I now see a lack of values and am considering it. To submit to the popular election, preparation is required. I do not rule. To think that Argentina can be fixed in 4 years is a utopia”.
Argentina’s presidential elections will take place on October 27 of this year, in accordance with the provisions of the national Constitution and electoral laws. The candidates will emerge from the primary elections to be held on August 11, if they reach 1.5% of the valid votes.
Dante will arrive in Costa Rica to present his show “Auténtico” in La Guácima on March 22.
Regarding “Auténtico”, he told the Honduran press: I call it ‘authentic’ because I show myself as I am, like an anti-hero, so that I can cause empathy with the public. The conference is addressed to all people, regardless of their creed, regardless of whether they are Catholic, Evangelical, Jewish, Muslim or atheist. I always address the human being from the point of view of finding the validation of time, that they discover why they are alive, because there are people who died, but were never really alive. Time is a value that does not return. In this event, people laugh non-stop for almost two hours, but in the end we found the connection with the soul”.
