A group of 5 young Christians make up the XTO folkloric group that were unanimously elected to represent Argentina in the international folkloric competition Viña del Mar Festival 2007.
In an exclusive conversation with NoticiaCristiana.com, yesterday, his manager Alejandro J. Bazán gave us the news that is already being broadcast on various radio stations in Chile and on Internet sites.
The XTO group was born with the need, from a group of friends, to carry a different message based on the principles of life and love for others, transmitting love and hope through Latin American Folklore.
Since the year 2000 they have toured important stages in Argentina with great public acceptance and an important upward career as artists.
The theme chosen to represent Argentina at the 2007 Viña del Mar Festival is titled “PATALEABA”, a joyful, fun theme with a lot of energy and above all with a message of hope.
XTO – Kicked:
The choice of the theme took place in a TELEFE program, one of the most important channels in Argentina, it was chosen among more than 2400 themes from all over the country, and with a very demanding jury that was integrated in its final phase by very important people from music and entertainment from Latin America, such as the Director of channel 13 in Chile, Director of SADAIC Argentina, Directors of WARNER Music, and Artistic Producers.
This is the first time that a recognized Christian group is stepping on the stage of Viña del Mar in its entire history.
The XTO group is recording a new album with the artistic production of Pablo Ramírez, known in South America for his excellent works and also for his participation as president of the Operación Triunfo jury. (Selective Artist and performers program) The group has also just finished filming on January 22 the video clip of the same theme that will be officially presented for Viña del Mar 2007.
The XTO group is a native of the city of Salta, which is located in the north of the Argentine Republic, bordering on the East with the sister country of Chile, it has a large Chilean community dedicated to agriculture and commerce in general.
“The city of Salta has approximately one million inhabitants and folklore is one of the ways to express our feelings and culture,” concluded Bazán.
