In communication with NoticiaCristiana.com, the evangelistic and musical ministry Los Hijos del Rey, a Colombian Vallenato music group that was founded by Jesualdo Bolaño “Bolañito” on the accordion and musical direction; and by Estevan “Chiche” Ovalle on vocals; announced their separation after 12 years of ministry.

This vallenato group reached more than 15 countries with their music, and they won gold, platinum records and the Nuestra Música award in Los Angeles CA. USA.

«The separation was in common agreement and thank God in peace. Walking as a group we all reached the same place, our vision is to reach many more places with Christian vallanata music, that is why we have made this decision,” one of its members, “Bolañito,” told NoticiaCristiana.com.

From now on, both Jesualdo Bolaño “bolañito” and Estevan “Chiche” Ovalle will each sing on their own but “holding onto the blessed one,” he concluded.

A little history…

In 1993 Jesualdo Bolaño «Bolañito» and Esteban «Chiche» Ovalle formed the Vallenato group Los Hijos del Rel, in the same year they recorded their first album with CNS (Christ Our Savior)

Jesualdo Bolaño «Bolañito» Musician and accordion player from the Bolaño dynasty, he has played the instrument since he was 6 years old.

He started professionally with Poncho Cotes Jr. In 1979, winning the “Cuna de accordiones” festival that same year, in his homeland Villanueva (Guajira). Later he repeated in 1980 and 1989 the maximum grade of “una de accordiones” in 1980 he recorded with Juan Piña the resounding success “How do you want me to forget you”, “The doubt”, and “Painting your name”.

In 1985 he founded the group Los Pechichones where the songs “They saw me crying” and “Por amor” among others stand out.

During his artistic career he has earned six gold records, three platinum records, two gold Congos at the Barranquilla festival and has won 48 festivals in the children’s, amateur and professional categories.

Esteban “Chiche” Ovalle – Born in Villanueva (Guajira). He began as a chorister in 1975 alongside Jorge Oñate, later he joined the Binomio de Oro group in which he remained for 18 years. Among his most outstanding songs are “That’s why I’m here”, “It was that afternoon” and “I know I failed you” which are also compositions by “Chiche” himself.
