One Million Moms has taken on some of America’s largest broadcasters to stand against immorality, violence and blasphemy in the media. Now it is the turn of the Discovery Channel who has launched a new weekly program called: “Naked and Afraid” (Naked and Afraid).

One Million Moms has one goal and that is to “stop the exploitation of children” with a focus on entertainment media and urges its members to email the TV network executives to request the cancellation of their show: “Naked and Afraid,” is a show where the cast members are completely uncovered in the jungle, with no food and no clothes.

The two survivors – man and woman – have to endure the dangers of the jungle for 21 days with only one survival item of their choice. A recent episode showed that the two survivors were taken to a beach in Panama, but their nudity did not seem modest.

They eventually cover their genitals with leaves and stems, but the male and female do not completely cover themselves, as the netting must continue to blur the revealed body parts from time to time.

One Million Moms considers the show soft porn and “producers have run out of ideas for new shows,” the organization said in a statement on its website. “Discovery should be ashamed of the nudity it puts on air and then calls it entertainment. In fact, it has a cast that is 50 percent naked.”

“Please send a letter to Discovery Channel urging them to cancel this offensive show ‘Naked And Afraid’ immediately. Let them know that the show is unsuitable and even the ads are offensive to family and it doesn’t fit your network to avoid being exposed to nudity as there are more shows suitable for family entertainment.”

One Million Moms, contains a section on their website called: “Hits”. It is said that in 2012, ABC canceled its controversial show 666 Park Avenue, as One Million Moms talked to the show’s sponsors.

“The lack of advertisers played a huge role in ‘666 Park Avenue, they didn’t come back for a second season,” the website says. The same can be said for ABC’s GCB – Good Christian Bitches and Good Christian Belles – after One Million Moms contacted the show’s publicists. The same thing happened, the program did not reach a second season.
