Dante Gebel, has been changing his evangelical rhetoric a lot after he withdrew with the Hispanic congregation of the Crystal Cathedral, which was sold due to a large million-dollar debt.

Once Dante found a place to locate the former Hispanic church of the Cathedral, he decided to give the flock a new name that is now known as: Favorday Church of Anaheim, California.

After starting to pastor Favorday Church and no longer under the roof of the Crystal Cathedral, Dante decided to withdraw his program from the international evangelical television station: Enlace, because according to God he had indicated that his time on this television network had already ended.

Dante already has his program on a secular channel, because there he affirms that it is where God wants him to preach, where there is darkness. “The reason is that I received a very specific instruction from the Lord, and I can only assure you that in these 25 years of walking with God I have learned to discern his voice, but fundamentally to obey it.”

“I want to get out of the Christian establishment, I need to focus the second half of my life on those who still don’t know the Lord. I do not want to end my days being one more of those who travel the continents to speak to the same believers as always, promising them that they will be happy and appear with fifteen other preachers in a poster in another prophetic congress for converts; That’s it, in any case I already did it, now I’m asking the Lord to allow me to go through new doors and thus continue honoring the fact that He decided to set His eyes on me, the day He called me to serve Him”, said Dante .

However, Dante’s rhetoric has taken a new turn that possibly generates much controversy among evangelicals, because the youth pastor wrote an article from his official Facebook in which he recommends Christian singers not to record more “Christian” albums. and do not accept invitations to concerts in evangelical churches either.

Dante gives Ricardo Montaner an example by highlighting that he “sits on the jury of a reality show, preaches Jesus Christ, speaks of the gospel to millions of viewers. “Wow! We pastors have to pay to be able to preach Jesus on secular television, and on top of that they give us the worst hours. Montaner not only gets paid, but also has the luxury of talking about Christ during prime time!”

Here is the article for you to draw your own conclusions:

I am glad that artists who give themselves to the Lord do not sing at our Christian concerts or record more “Christian” records. We already have thousands of Christian singers and thousands of Christian concerts, more than we would like to have.

By God, enough of fish watching other fish swim in the fish tank.

I always tell some artist friends (who converted to the Lord) not to accept invitations to sing in our Churches. That they do not listen to the little brothers who attack them saying: “When are you going to sing to Christ?”, because in reality what they want is a new record that entertains them.

I encourage you to continue where you are, illuminating, being light in the world, go out where there is trouble, just as the Lord commanded us. I tell them that I support them in fervent prayer, but that they continue to be light there, where many believers would like to go, but cannot (basically because they cannot broaden their minds).

My heart widens when I see Montaner sitting on the jury of a reality show, including Jesus Christ and the gospel in whatever participation they give him, in front of millions of viewers.

Wow! We pastors have to pay to be able to preach Jesus on secular television, and on top of that they give us the worst hours. Montaner is not only paid, but has the luxury of talking about Christ in prime time!

I know that Montaner (to give just one example) has preached to presidents, governors, very famous soccer players, millionaire celebrities, and I myself have seen them bend their knees behind the cameras, asking for forgiveness for their sins; something that many preachers could not achieve from our pulpits: reach those people who would not enter our Churches (even if it hurts).

I also tell them to turn a deaf ear to the religious who are going to tell them: “You cannot serve two masters”, “What are you doing in that mundane program?” or “Why do you sing to love and not to Christ?” They are the same ones who prefer that they leave the place of influence where they are and sing praises on a Christian channel or that they visit the congresses of their favorite apostle.

What happens is that the “minority syndrome” affects some believers and that is why they want to have the famous who give themselves to the Lord as a “trophy”. Being able to boast by saying: “The famous So-and-so is congregating with us” seems to give a certain evangelical glamour.

I once remember a well-known pastor who wanted at all costs to invite a famous singer who had just given his life to the Lord to his Christian event, and he asked me to intercede for the invitation.

Obviously, as is the “evangelical custom” he wanted it to be free and in any case he gave him a “love offering”. In fact, although this pastor knew that the artist is dedicated to singing and makes a living from it, he asked me: «And should we give him something? because he has to understand that this is for God, amen?” (although the pastor intended to charge for the event, obviously).

I told him that this was not going to happen, that I myself advised my friend not to go inside the walls of the church to entertain the little brothers. I told him that I told him over and over again: “Don’t go where I want to go; we must be light, preach to the unconverted, do not let the religious system surround you, be a good Christian, congregate, be faithful to God and your pastor, but do not enter the circuit where everyone is already converted and the only thing they will do is criticize you ».

Right there the pastor began to tell me that this singer was an apostate, a false convert, that he was a shame for the gospel, and all the famous “evangelical insults” that some always use, disguising envy and hatred as “zeal.” saint by the Work of God».

In short: if the artist accepted the invitation to sing at your event, he was a tremendous man of God; since he did not accept it, then he was an apostate who was going non-stop to hell.

This goes out to my open-minded friends. Do not stop praying for our missionaries in hostile territories. Pray daily for Guerra, Montaner, Ramones, Dellanos, Juanes, Falcao, Solís and all the celebrities who are coming to the Lord.

Pray that God will keep them strong, but above all, pray that the “spirit of religious stupidity” will not affect them.

For years we have preached that we want the world to know Christ and when someone can reach those places with the Message of Christ that many will never reach, we mercilessly criticize them because we do not understand how it is that we do not have them singing choruses on Sunday in our Church.

Let us also pray for the young Christians who are studying to be producers, artists, actors, painters, sculptors, screenwriters, composers, directors, dancers, politicians. So that when they receive and get the title, they do not hide the light under the pillow. Let them go and illuminate the cinema, television, the arts and government seats, and above all, not listen to those who warm chairs in churches and save souls, which is the only thing that matters.

As this article was published on Dante’s Facebook, he clarified that his “evangelical insults” were going to write it, which would be blocked but “not because of bad vibes, but to take care of our emotional and spiritual health.”
