Fake news: “Evangelical pastor will marry a 12-year-old girl”

MEXICO.- The false news of a 60-year-old evangelical pastor who married a 12-year-old girl because God ordered it has proliferated through social networks and the media in Mexico to the extent that many Mexicans are asking the police authorities to investigate the case and this pedophile pastor.

The information that is being disseminated is that Jorge Federico Rico Villarreal de Chalco published on social networks that he married a minor under 12 years of age in July. Another part of the false news is that God ordered the pastor to marry the alleged 12-year-old girl because his wife Lidia was unfaithful to him, which has made many people angry to the point of insulting the faith of the evangelicals and Villarreal himself.

The photo that many media have spread the most is that the alleged pedophile is an elderly man who appears in a photo with two young people, one male and the other female, who could now be his wife, although their faces cannot be distinguished because they appear with a blurred tape to protect their faces which makes it even more strange, but because of the background of the photo it seems that it was taken at Christmas time.

Another indication is that no Mexican evangelical denomination has ruled on the matter, although the church could be independent, it does not say which church he pastors, the link where this man published this alleged wedding does not exist and if it was deleted there is no evidence in images of that this publication existed and neither in which social network did it do it and which medium was the first to denounce this supposed crime of pedophilia.

However, doing further research, we verified that the man is indeed the pastor of a small Pentecostal evangelical church, he has videos on YouTube from many years ago in which he appears with his wife, it seems that this is an act of defamation towards this pastor, but we could We are wrong, but either way a site called Pulzo has debunked this news.
