FAMOUS CONVERSES TO CATHOLICISM
A convert is a person who was not a Catholic and at some point in his life, has become a Catholic. Surely the names that you are going to read below are very familiar to you:
gary cooper
American actor. 1901-1961. Presbyter Ford was explaining to Gary Cooper the unfathomable richness of the Catholic faith. When he had almost made up his mind, he gave him to read “The Mountain of the Seven Circles”, an autobiography of the monk Thomas Merton in which he narrates his conversion. That was the final push. The already veteran actor was baptized in the Catholic Church in May 1959. He suffered from cancer and died 3 years later as a Catholic happy with this blessing.
William Levy
The popular Cuban actor residing in Mexico received Baptism, First Communion and Confirmation, with which he becomes part of the Catholic community, in a private activity held at the Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza parish in the state of Puebla in 2009.
John Wayne
American actor. His sons’ efforts for him to convert culminated in his deathbed. Wayne accepted and was received into the Catholic Church.
Arthur K. Chesterton
English writer and journalist. 1874-1936
He responded one day to the following question: “Why am I a Catholic and no longer an Anglican?”:

Svetlana Stalin
One of the most surprising conversions has been that of the daughter of the Russian dictator and communist genocide Stalin. She is a writer. She spent 36 years of her life in atheist Russia, in an atheist home.
The examples of faith from her grandmothers left a seed inside her. She became a Catholic in 1982.. she states:
“The years since my conversion have been full of happiness. The Eucharist has become alive and necessary for me. And the Virgin Mary? She doesn’t believe, but once I had a need and She became close.

English film, theater and television actor.
Every time he got to his dressing room, he would take out a hazelnut and put it on display. She said that after reading St. Helen of Norwick, she was struck by one of her visions where God put a hazelnut in her hand, and she asked:

He converted to Catholicism after 7 Bishops and hundreds (yes, hundreds) of Anglican priests and deacons have recognized the Pope of the Catholic Church of Rome as supreme pastor and have adopted the Catholic Creed. She is a member of the royal family of England.
