. – Farruko, the Puerto Rican urban music singer revealed that he converted from his evil ways to follow Christ. He made the statements at a concert on Saturday -12-, generating an unexpected impact on social networks.
«I did not know the message that I was saying in my songs. I’m not proud of that,” Farruko said during his performance on Saturday at Miami’s FTX Arena.
During the concert, his famous song ‘Pepas’ was played, which talks about drug use, but Farruko did not sing the lyrics.
“God knows how many of his children I have hurt. And today I stand up like a man to tell them to forgive me as a human being because love begins with forgiveness,” he said, according to the video released by music entrepreneur José ‘Pompi’ Vallejo, from Mr&Mrs Entertainment.
Among other statements that nobody expected at the concert were: “we are all sinners, the Bible says so”, “God is good”, “today I can say that God is dealing with me”, he stressed.
Avalanche of criticism, money back and Christ
As expected, Farruko’s concert was branded as a mass, and many complained that instead of listening to Farruko’s secular songs, what they heard was about a message of salvation, so many of the attendees are asking them to return your money.
The Puerto Rican reacted and announced that “Farru has retired and the one who is there is Carlos”, he also requested his data from a user to reimburse him for the money with which he bought his ticket.
“If you accept Christ, it comes back to you with blessings and love. God bless you. I love you so much,” he stressed.
“I’m really sorry, those who are going to see Farru are in time not to go and they can be reimbursed,” reads the beginning of the message.
“Don’t spend your money”
«Those who go and want a new experience of love are welcome, even if only one goes, I will be there and I will love them the same whether they go or not. They are on time so that they do not spend their money or time on eternal life and harmony, I love them.
Despite his conversion, Farruko is making his presentations due to his legal contracts: «No one is obligated, there are more artists that you can follow and go see. I am only fulfilling my commitments because I am my word and I owe respect to my fans and God is a God of order and the platform that remains I am going to use to carry the message, I love them, “he said, according to Univisión.
