CHRISTIANNEWS.COM.- In the middle of a Christian service at The First Baptist Church of Florida (USA), a faithful of the church took the microphone and accused the pastor, Silair Almeida, of having an extramarital relationship with his wife .
The cult was broadcast live when the event occurred, but the videos were later removed from digital platforms, reports Throne Gate.
The religious faithful took the opportunity to take the microphone and thus denounce the pastor after the praise.
Likewise, the faithful recounted during his speech that he had been married to his wife by the same pastor Almeida.
Silair Almeida is one of the best-known pastors among the Brazilian migrant community in the United States.
Some users pointed out on social networks that it was not the first time that the pastor was accused of this sin, but the first time that someone had the courage to express it.
Through a press release, the vice president of the First Baptist Church of Florida (PIB), Ney Ladeia, said that Pastor Almeida had resigned from his position.
“I would like to communicate to the leadership of PIB Florida, to all the members of the church, and also to the community in general, that last Monday, August 16, in a board meeting, Pastor Silair Almeida handed over the position of pastor of the church and, therefore, the presidency of the institution”, said Ladeia.
According to the new PIB president, the church will not stand still while the leadership transition occurs.
Likewise, he stated that he expects the collaboration of the church: “We hope for the involvement, the participation of all, and of course, the prayers for this time so that the Lord continues to lead the history of his church, and that the church is a blessing for our community.”
