The story of the film is about a gospel singing sisters. This is the best-selling girl group in history and the girls’ mother is a pioneer in her style of music.
The five sisters decided to take their Christian song to the popular current. They come from humble beginnings in Detroit, Michigan. They endured abuse, loss, betrayal, rejection, and sibling rivalry to rise to fame as gospel music icons.

Nielsen Media Research noted that this film has been the best original and cable and ad-supported record since 2018 and in a demographic viewed by 1.1 million people.
The has of the film (#TheClarkSisters) reached 700 thousand interactions and was positioned above other television programs. It was also Lifetime’s main social media presence.
At a press conference with award-winning singer Mary J, Blige spoke about how the film influenced her.
The singer said that she has learned a lot from them and that she only has an anointing.
