Words of the Apostle Paul to the Galatians

“Foolish Galatians, who has seduced you, before whom was presented the image of Jesus Christ crucified?” (Galatians 3:1). This verse sums up the essence of the letter written to the Galatians. To put us in context, at that time, the Jews had begun to sow confusion among the brothers of this church, by requiring them to practice circumcision and other rites of Judaism, to be justified before God. Therefore, seeing this behavior, the apostle Paul wrote this letter with the purpose of correcting the Galatians, and making them return to the sound doctrine of the Gospel. Here are some of his strong words: “If you seek justice through the Law, you have broken with Christ and are outside the domain of grace. Because to us, the Spirit, makes us hope by faith for the blessings of justice” (Galatians 5:4-5).
