Explanation of the great value of the Holy Mass

It is the greatest, most sublime and most holy act, which is celebrated every day on earth. There is nothing more sublime in the world than Jesus Christ, and nothing more sublime in Jesus Christ than his Holy Sacrifice on the Cross, updated in each Mass, since the Holy Mass is the renewal of the Sacrifice of the Cross.

Mass, Supper and Cross are the same sacrifice. Saint Bernard rightly said: “He who devoutly hears a Mass in the grace of God deserves more than if he gave all his goods to support the poor.”

“To hear a Mass while alive or to give alms so that it may be celebrated is more profitable than leaving it for after death.” (Saint Anselm)

“It is more useful for the remission of guilt and punishment, that is, for the remission of sins, to hear a Mass than all the prayers in the world” (Eugenio III Pope)

With the Mass more honor is paid to God than all the angels and saints in heaven can pay him. Since that of these, is an honor of creatures, but in the Mass he is offered that of his own Son Jesus Christ, who pays him an Infinite Honor. (Saint Alphonsus M Liguori).

By attending Mass, you pay the greatest homage to the Most Holy Humanity of Our Lord Jesus Christ. During Mass you kneel in the midst of a multitude of angels who invisibly attend the Holy Sacrifice with utmost reverence.

At the hour of your death, your greatest consolation will be the Masses you have heard during your life. Every Mass you hear, I will accompany you to the Divine Court, and plead for you to reach Forgiveness.

With each Mass, you can lessen the temporal punishment you owe for your sins, in proportion to the Fervor with which you hear it.

With each Mass you increase your degrees of glory in Heaven. In it you receive the blessing of the Priest, which God ratifies in Heaven.

Santa Teresa begged the Lord one day to tell her how she could pay him for all the favors he had given her and she answered
hearing a Mass”.

“All the good works of the world together, are not equivalent to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, because they are the works of men, while the Mass is the work of God. In the Mass, it is Jesus Christ himself, God and True Man, who offers himself to the Father for remission of the sins of all men and at the same time renders him an Infinite Honor”. (The Holy Curé of Ars)

Calvary was the first Altar, the true Altar, then the entire Altar becomes Calvary.

There is no language in the world with which to express the greatness and value of the Holy Mass. If the truth is that Christ offers himself to the Eternal Father every day in the Holy Mass for the salvation of men, for the salvation of the whole world are we going to leave him alone?

Let us seek the daily half hour to join Jesus in the Holy Mass, to adore the Father and give him the honor he deserves, to thank him for so many favors received, to appease his angry anger for so many sins and give him full satisfaction for them and implore grace and mercy for all the men of the world, in short, to enlarge Heaven and make the Passion of Christ more Glorious.

You, who love to do good so much, are you going to miss the opportunity to join the greatest work that is being carried out on Earth by Christ himself?

Read, think and meditate many times on this INVITATION from the Lord; and keep in mind, whenever…”LOVE IS PAID WITH LOVE”.

May God bless you and reward your generosity.

I believe in one God, almighty Father, creator of heaven and earth, of everything visible and invisible. I believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, born before all ages: God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not created, of the same nature as the Father, by whom everything was done; that for us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, and by the power of the Holy Spirit was incarnated as Mary, the Virgin, and became man; and for our sake he was crucified in the time of Pontius Pilate; he suffered and was buried, and rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father; and he will come again in glory to judge the quick and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, Lord and giver of Life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son receive the same adoration and glory. And that he spoke by the prophets. I believe in the Church, which is one, holy, catholic and apostolic. I confess that there is only one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. I await the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.
