– The Barcelona prosecutor’s office (in Spain) requests two years and four months in prison for a “hate crime” against moral integrity, and for the mistreatment, for the parents of Ezequiela young man they tried to convince to stop being homosexual.
It all started in 2016, when Ezequiel began a homosexual relationship, in his institute; but that, according to his lawyerAt first Ricardo de la Rosa took him in secret out of fear, however, the news reached his parents (pastors of an evangelical church), to whom Ezequiel explained what had happened in a letter, reports El Newspaper Nius.
Before the confession, the parents reacted, with an “aggressive and distant attitude”, which according to de la Rosa, the father came to affirm, that “In life there are decisions of life and death, and you (Ezequiel) have made the decision of death”in addition to telling him, “you have a demon inside”.
“We have to heal you”
However, the young man’s parents were convinced that the situation could change, and they did everything possible to achieve it, convinced that God would help them. “We have to cure you”, they came to affirm, and from here is when, according to de la Rosa, “harassment” of the young man occurs.
The most unpleasant episode occurred when Ezequiel, who lived outside the family home, without work or income, needed his passport to request the minimum benefit. “He stayed with one hand in front and one in the back,” said his lawyer, who contacted his parents to get it back, and the homosexual couple arrived at the meeting.
The parents’ first reaction was to ask him, “What are you doing here with that fagot?”, and from there, there were “insults and a struggle.”
While, during the trial in the province, the evangelical parents denied the facts, stating that they were part of a harmonious family and that they loved each other.
