Hormachea: Vote for biblical morality and for Ossadon in the primary elections

CHILE.- The primary elections in Chile, which will take place on July 2, have two coalitions of parties that will face the challenge of nominating their candidates for the presidential elections on November 19.

The Chilean media broadcast yesterday the television debate between the candidates for the primary elections for the center-right coalition, Chile Vamos, former president Sebastián Piñera, senator Manuel Ossandón and deputy Felipe Kast.

The Chilean Christian writer Dr. David Hormachea spoke openly in favor of the candidate Manuel José Ossandon, from his Facebook he published a video and an article entitled: “Chilean Evangelicals and Catholics: vote in favor of biblical morality in the primaries”, justifying with compelling reasons for the call he makes to Christians in Chile.

Despite leaning towards a single candidate, the Chilean speaker, highlights that the 3 options of the “Chile Vamos” coalition (Felipe Kast, Manuel José Ossandón and Sebastián Piñera) have a greater approach to Christian morality, in contrast to the neo-left candidates who are part of gender ideology, these are: Alberto Mayol, Beatriz Sánchez, Alejandro Guillier, Carolina Goic. Hormachea makes a call that no Christian, lover of biblical morality, should vote for these candidates.

«Our duty is to do the right thing and the right thing is to fulfill our civic duties. Our duty is to do what is good in life and we must do what is good for our country, for morality, for the people, for our families, and what is good is to be salt and light and fight for our moral values,” Hormachea said. .

The writer said that Chilean evangelicals and Catholics should “electing authorities who, because they are more in line with our Biblical values, will be more “at the service of God to fulfill the specific purpose of punishing those who do wrong.”

The candidates we elect must not only punish evil such as child murder, but also prevent evil from spreading. When we vote for those who hate God’s purpose and approve of evil (Homosexual marriage, abortion, gender ideology, obligation to learn their wrong morals in schools) we are complicit in their wickedness and we elect authorities who do not believe in Godwho believe that faith should be private and who have a religion in which their god is man.

Hormachea assures that it is of vital importance for education that «gender ideology should not be implanted and that its teaching in schools be legalized», if the evangelicals and catholics succeed, they will have achieved one of the greatest victories.

Below we present a summary of the nine arguments that Hormachea justifies why they should vote for Mr. Manuel José Ossandón in the primary elections.

FIRST: Have a history of professionalism, an ascending career, characterized by responsibility, integrity and recognized achievements.

Ossandon was Mayor of Pirque, Mayor of Puente Alto, Senator of the Republic with achievements recognized by the inhabitants of the communes he served.

He was mayor of Pirque for two consecutive periods (from 1992 to 2000), obtaining 22% of the votes in the first election and reaching 65% in the second. He was also mayor of Puente Alto for three consecutive terms (between 2000 and 2012): in the 2000 elections, he won with 45%; then in 2004 he was re-elected with 60% of the vote, and in 2008 he reached his third term with 70% of the vote.4 Due to his excellent management, his percentage of votes continued to grow.

He was the one who obtained the second majority of votes as a senator in the parliamentary elections of 2013 and in 2015 elected as the most prolific senator in the country.

SECOND: That he is not an atheist, an agnostic or a liberal in his morality. Ossandon is a practicing Catholic of his faith, not now because of the elections. In September 2016, he made strong critics of the manual 100 questions on adolescent sexuality, launched by the Municipality of Santiago, stating that the text does not educate sexually, but rather “distorts”.

THIRD: That he be in favor of life, that he reject abortion and euthanasia. Help women with vulnerable pregnancies instead of having abortions.

This is his commitment: “We publicly reaffirm a commitment that is consistent with the entire political career of our candidate; the defense of life We reject all types of abortion or euthanasia legislation, while we will work to install a comprehensive commitment to a culture of life.”

FOURTH: Who believes that society is built on the basis of the family and that citizen values and virtues must be transmitted there. Support the law on domestic violence instead of gender violence, which is just a way to destroy the idea of man and woman.

This is their commitment: We will offer the “possibility for civil society organizations to present support plans that operate at the community and social level, whose focus is to transmit and educate about the importance of strengthening marriage as the foundation of the family.”

FIFTH: that promotes that parents and not the state are the ones who have the right and obligation to teach the morality that they choose and not the one that the state imposes. Commit to fighting for religious freedom and not have leftist atheist religion forced on us in schools. They want to impose the morality that the Bible considers sinful and that is part of their neo-leftist religion, that is, atheist, agnostic, moral liberal, secularist. But they don’t want us or Catholics to impose our values on them.

This is their commitment: “The freedom of education is inalienable, we recognize that it is the parents who have the preferential right and duty to educate their children, and not the State. The teaching of religious belief is a right of parents that must be recognized and strengthened in the schools, colleges and high schools that exist in the country today.”

SIXTH: May you be committed to strengthening the truth about marriage as the main foundation of the family and as the union of a man and a woman.

This is their commitment: “We commit ourselves to strengthen the institution of marriage, whose nature is the union between a man and a woman and the protection of children.”

SEVENTH; Fight so that children are protected and loved and that they can be adopted by marriages of a healthy man and woman and as quickly and wisely as possible.

This is their commitment: “Because we believe in and promote the right to life, we want to make a commitment to support mothers with vulnerable pregnancies, or who are in conflict with their motherhood…”

“Our commitment will be to generate the bureaucratic and material conditions to guarantee the participation of professionals, civil society organizations and Christian churches in support programs and spiritual counseling for the children of Sename…”

EIGHTH: A person who takes into account Catholic and evangelical organizations so that they play an important role in teaching values and social assistance in prisons, homes for battered women, orphanages, and who recognizes the evangelical contribution in society and opens the doors for the social help. Do not offer money to build churches or have evangelical campaigns, but rather money for social work such as help houses for battered women, orphans, dependents, etc.

This is their commitment: “We promise that the National Office for Religious Affairs (ONAR) has a presence in each region… “We will guarantee the support and promotion of the work carried out by congregations and Christian organizations in the prevention and rehabilitation of people inserted in the alcohol, drugs and crime. “We are committed to equality of worship in the Armed Forces. For it. We will include the Evangelical Chaplains as officers of the branches, so that they can access a remuneration”.
