– A hospital went viral for its evangelization strategy through Christian phrases on its food containers.
The Bertioga Hospital, São Paulo, has become well known for motivational messages such as «Jesus loves you», smiles», “The Lord is my shepherd and I shall not want” that they place in food containers that they distribute to patients.
These Christian phrases have made some patients get better and feel confident in God.
The medical staff at Hospital Bertioga saw that the patients were sad and decided to do something different. Even many of those who were discharged took the food containers home.
“We send notes with hearts and words to comfort patients. We noticed that they had positive feedback and decided to expand.“commented the hospital’s head of nutrition, Talita Brito.
Gratitude
Brito also assured that he has seen rapid improvement in patients when they read these messages on their food containers.
«There is a patient who takes the caps home. They like the treat, because it makes their day better and therefore we encourage them to eat too“said the doctor.
He added that the medical personnel who work in the hospital have felt good about the treatment of patients towards them as a result of the messages.
“There were times when I was very depressed, away from family, admitted to the hospital. I felt terrible. The professionals arrived in the morning with this kindness and they put me in”said the hospital cook, Jane Souza.
