How to pray the Holy Rosary

1.- By the sign of the Holy Cross, deliver us from our enemies Lord, our God. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
2.- Pray the Act of Contrition: My Lord Jesus Christ, God and true Man, Creator, Father and my Redeemer; because you are who you are, Infinite Kindness, and because I love you above all things, it weighs me with all my heart that I have offended you; it also weighs me down because you can punish me with the pains of hell. Helped by your divine grace, I firmly propose never to sin again, confess and fulfill the penance that was imposed on me. Amen.
3.- Pray three Hail Marys and a Gloria.
4.- Depending on the day of the week, we choose the mysteries to meditate on, as indicated below. After enunciating the first mystery, an Our Father is prayed.
Joyful Mysteries (Mondays and Saturdays)
The Incarnation of the Son of God.
The Visitation of Our Lady to her cousin Saint Elizabeth.
The Birth of the Son of God in Bethlehem.
The Purification of Our Lady and Presentation of the Child Jesus.
The Child lost and found in the Temple.
Sorrowful Mysteries (Tuesday and Friday)
The Prayer of Jesus in the Garden of Olives.
The Flagellation of the Lord.
The Crowning with Thorns.
The Cross on the way to Calvary.
Crucifixion and death of Jesus on the Cross.
Glorious Mysteries (Wednesdays and Sundays)
The Resurrection of the Lord.
The Ascension of the Lord.
The Coming of the Holy Spirit.
The Assumption of Our Lady.
The Coronation of Holy Mary.
Luminous Mysteries (Thursday)
Baptism in the Jordan
The self-revelation of Jesus at the wedding at Cana.
The announcement of the Kingdom of God inviting conversion.
The Transfiguration of the Lord on Mount Tabor.
The institution of the Holy Eucharist.
5.- 10 Hail Marys are prayed, a Glory Be followed by the Ejaculation: Mary, Mother of Grace, Mother of Mercy, defend us from our enemies and protect us now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
6.- The second mystery is enunciated and an Our Father is prayed.
7.- 10 Hail Marys, a Gloria and the Ejaculation are prayed: Mary, Mother of Grace, Mother of Mercy, defend us from our enemies and protect us now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
8.- The third mystery is enunciated and an Our Father is prayed.
9.- 10 Hail Marys, a Gloria and the Ejaculation are prayed: Mary, Mother of Grace, Mother of Mercy, defend us from our enemies and protect us now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
10.- The fourth mystery is enunciated and an Our Father is prayed.
11.- 10 Hail Marys, a Glory Be and the Ejaculation are prayed: Mary, Mother of Grace, Mother of Mercy, defend us from our enemies and protect us now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
12.- The fifth mystery is enunciated and an Our Father is prayed.
13.- 10 Hail Marys, a Glory Be and the Ejaculation are prayed: Mary, Mother of Grace, Mother of Mercy, defend us from our enemies and protect us now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
14.- An Our Father is prayed and these three Hail Marys:
God save you, Maria, Daughter of God the Father, full of grace, the Lord is with you, blessed are you among all women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
