CHRISTIANNOTICE.COM.- Hungary recently approved a bill that prohibits the media from disseminating LGBT and homosexual content for minors.
Some important radio stations in the country rejected this law, which they define as a threat to freedom of expression, reports Reuters.
According to the RTL station, the new law could affect the diffusion in the country of the movie “Harry Potter” and series like “Friends”.
RTL stated that this bill could cancel the transmission of programs that touch on homosexuality or LGBT.
According to the party that promoted this law, Fidesz, this law seeks to guarantee children their right to have an identity according to their biological gender.
The nationalist government of Viktor Orban and his party want the traditional family to prevail in Hungary and not impose the progressive agenda in favor of LGBT.
On the other hand, the European Union and human rights groups have criticized this law.
The RTL radio station said that it condemned homophobia and considered that this law could violate human rights.
RTL stated that this bill will cause damage to the media and make it difficult for Hungarians to enjoy their favorite shows.
