. – The Dios Es Amor Pentecostal Church faces the worst crisis since its foundation (Brazil) and attempts a renewed ministry in the face of a great challenge. This would reverse the loss of believers who migrated to a branch of the institution: The Pentecostal Church Dios Es Amor Renewed Ministry Sao Paulo.
The division in the Iglesia Dios Es Amor was caused by the Pastor Reinaldo Lima, who was a priest at the institution. But he did not accept the improvements promoted in the church after the Pastor David Miranda who has already passed away and was the founder of that denomination.
Lima announced at the end of last year that the new Church of God Is Love Renewed. According to him, he promises to be faithful and strictly follow the first ideologies of the church.
Ad: “God will continue to work great miracles. We will continue to preach the true word of the Lord against sin, stewardship and vanity”, said the leader of the new church.
In the same video, the pastor thanked the affiliations he has received from other countries with dissident members of God is Love, recently integrated into his church. The pastor even talked about expanding his vision of the church to many countries. He also said that his church will grow a lot.
The proposal seems to have pleased the most conservative believers
that they are not happy with the reformulation of some rules of the denomination. Especially those proposed by the new president, Miranda’s widow, Ereni Oliveira de Miranda.
The presidency of the church is believed to be in the hands of David Miranda’s daughter, Deborah and her husband. But they would be preparing the place for the son who will be the future president of the church. This fact was confirmed by Ereni Oliveira de Miranda herself in a sermon.
Deborah announced that it would no longer be necessary to present tithing letters to partake of the sacrament in the church. However, several other minor updates promise a more modern church that can survive competition from rapidly growing neo-Pentecostal churches in Brazil.
Many protest videos are circulating online criticizing Pastor Reinaldo’s break with the church. Many claim that the pastor really wants to gather money and believers for himself. And that the pastor’s decision would be a hunger for power. The Dios Es Amor church has yet to officially comment on the split.
