Israel expert: “People are wrong about prophecy and the end times”

CHRISTIANNEWS.COM.- Amir Tsarfati is an author, Israeli military veteran and former lieutenant governor of Jericho, who is on a captivating mission to “explain Israel and its role in God’s plan.”

Tsarfati, whose new novel is titled “Operation Joktan,” runs an organization called Behold Israel that provides news and information about Israel and its role in biblical history and prophecy.

People are wrong in prophecy

In a recent interview with Faithwire, Tsarfati explained what people tend to get most wrong about prophecy. She pointed out that inconsistencies and the wrong approach can often force people to steer clear of prophetic issues entirely.

“The biggest mistake is… people don’t divide the word correctly. They take things out of context,” she said. “They are emphasizing the wrong things. They ignore the important things and therefore are disappointed time and time again and that is exactly why they appear crazy in the eyes of the world and in the eyes of other Christians.”

At the heart of the problem, he said, is the inclination some have to jump to conclusions and expand beyond what the Scriptures proclaim. Instead of looking at things like “blood moons” and other such predictions, he encouraged people to look at what the prophets say in the scriptures.

“We are actually the most blessed generation since the time of Jesus Christ,” he said. “More prophecies are being fulfilled in our lifetime than any generation since that first century generation, and you know we really don’t have to work hard to find the prophecies fulfilled.”

Tsarfati encouraged people not to get “too sensational” and not just make claims to “sell books.” Instead, he encouraged people to hold tight to the Bible.
