CHRISTIANNOTICE.COM.- The Israeli legislator, Ben-Gvir, said during his visit to the Temple Mount that the construction of the Third Temple in this sacred place was necessary.
Building the Third Temple is a commandment that is incumbent on the Jewish people as it is written in the Book of Exodus: “And that they make me a sanctuary so that I may dwell among them”, says Exodus 25:8.
Before arriving at the Temple Mount, the deputy spoke about the importance of Jews visiting the holy site.
For Ben-Gvir, the visit of the Jews to the Temple Mount leaves the Hamas group as an “organization of the faint-hearted that will easily surrender.”
The Israeli government has prevented the construction of any temple on the holy site to avoid conflict with Arab groups.
Religious Jews who pray at the site do so only in silence, doing so under Israeli police protection, reports Israel 365 News.
Ben Gvir has in the past called for Israel’s full control over the holy site.
In his opening speech at the Israeli Parliament, Ben Gvir accused the Israeli government of not making the necessary attempts to exercise full sovereignty over its territory, especially the Temple Mount.
“I will act to ensure that Israeli control returns to Jerusalem and the Temple Mount. Specifically”, he said at the time.
