NOTCIACRISTIANA.COM.- Itiel Arroyo participated in a conversation where he was asked what a Christian should do when he has a homosexual friend.
The Spanish preacher confessed that his best friend from college was gay, and said they both learned a lot from their conversations on the subject.
Arroyo said that he learned to separate the LGBT ideology from people who are homosexual.
Likewise, the preacher maintained that when it comes to ideologies, Christians must fight, raise their voices and not allow some things; however, he said that homosexuals must be helped and taken as a mission.
“In Spain I clearly divide the ideological movements, and I raise my voice against certain things that they are trying to impose, but when it comes to people, I want to show myself as Jesus showed himself, (as) a friend of sinners.”
On the other hand, Itiel stated that many of the homosexuals have embraced the LGBT ideology, because the church is not containing them.
For the preacher, homosexuals would integrate with Christians, “if the church embraces them and tells them: ‘Come here and listen to the gospel message. Come with your pain, come with your confusion. We are going to embrace you as a community and we are going to trust in the transforming power of the gospel…”
Finally, Arroyo stated that it is important to become friends with homosexuals to bring them to the feet of the Lord.
