CHRISTIANNEWS.COM.- President Joe Biden arrived in London this Saturday to attend the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.
The US president and his wife, Jill Biden, landed at 10:00 PM (local time) at Stansted airport, north of the British capital, as reported by swissinfo.ch.
The couple was received by the US ambassador in London, Jane Hartley, along with officials from the British Foreign Office.
On Sunday at 17:00 GMT, Joe Biden and his wife will privately visit Queen Elizabeth’s funeral chapel. So will other world leaders for the rest of the day.
The following day, they will attend the state funeral at Westminster Abbey, after which they will leave the United Kingdom to return to Washington, he said. EFE.
The state funeral will take place on Monday, September 19. It is estimated that about 2 thousand guests will be on the site.
However, the British government has said that Elizabeth II’s burial will be done privately.
