CHRISTIANNEWS.COM.- The filmmaker Alex Kendrick showed a photo of him and his brother Stephen with actor Kirk Cameron on his Instagram account and announced that they will work on a new Christian film, reported Christian Post.
This new film takes place 14 years after the brothers Kendrick and Cameron participated in the successful film “Fireproof” (Fireproof).
Alex Kendrick wrote on his Instagram account that he is excited to work on this new project with Cameron after 14 years of the success of “Fireproof”.
“It’s wonderful to be shooting a feature film with Kirk Cameron again! The movie spans two decades, so we see him age almost 20 years,” Kendrick explained. “It’s a true story with a lot of action, humor and heart!” said the filmmaker.
In 2019 Cameron had told the Christian Post the scoop about his plans to work with the brothers and filmmakers on a new film.
“’Overcomer’ just came out and this will be my first big movie in theaters since ‘Fireproof,’ and we’re going to do it together,” he said.
The actor stated that he devised this film and that he worked on it to star in it.

Fireproof is a 2008 Christian film that was very successful at the box office and paved the way for other faith films.
The film became one of the highest grossing in terms of faith films. In its first two weeks, it raised $12 million.
The movie is based on a rocky marital relationship between a firefighter named Caleb Holt and his wife Catherine. The couple begins to contemplate the idea of a divorce but Caleb’s father gives them a special gift to get them through their difficulties.
This film won the best film category at the San Antonio Festival of Independent Christian Films and best drama at the awards Crystal Seal Awards.
