Lisney De Font: “The New Testament speaks of women pastors”

CHRISTIANNOTICE.COM.- A video of Pastor Lisney De Font has circulated on social networks where she assures that the New Testament only names Jesus as a male shepherd, while it does name female shepherds in greater numbers.

The preacher expressed that despite the absence of male shepherds in the New Testament (except Jesus), there is talk of female shepherds.

“(…) the Bible speaks of Rebekah as a shepherdess, (…) it speaks of women who were shepherding the flocks (…) it speaks of the women who were the daughters of Jethro who were shepherding them and when they arrived at the well they were abusing them,” de Font said.

However, he assured that in Ephesians chapters 4 verse 11, the Bible speaks of the five ministries where it includes pastors.

De Font assured that under grace, the Lord does not differentiate women from men, but sees a priestly body.

The shepherdess indicated that the fact that men reach leadership does not mean that they should have their wives belittled and their sheep subjugated.

Likewise, the Christian justified female shepherding by mentioning that Devora had a leadership that implied judging men.

On the other hand, De Font expressed that the least mentioned ministry in the Bible is that of pastors, including men and women.
