.- Former Brazilian President Luiz Ignácio Lula da Silva participated in a meeting with different cultural and religious movements in the country, where he received gifts from Santeria.
During the meeting, Lula allowed himself to be “blessed” by a woman who professes Santeria.
The meeting was published on video by the YouTube channel of the Workers’ Party (video here).
“We have a ‘Lula Libre’ committee every Wednesday and we pray for you. Save us, Lula, save us… We need you very much. You are from Shangó, when you assume the presidency, take this here”, said Mother Valéria de Logun Edé.
The former president received a necklace and a photograph was taken with the so-called “Mother of the Saints.”
They also gave him a statue of ‘Zé Pilintra’ to assume the presidency when he is there.
On the other hand, mother Telma Iemanjá related Lula’s arrest to being a son of Shangó, who endured difficult times.
Shangó is considered the king of the Yoruba religion, who represents for his believers dance, manly strength, lightning, thunder and fire, reports Wikipedia.
Likewise, Telma said that Shangó had welcomed Lula when he was president of Brazil.
The governor of Ceará, Camilo Santana, was also present at the event.
