USA- Many professionals who work in front of and behind the cameras in Hollywood believe that “there is no escaping” nude scenes or that they suggest some kind of sensuality in movies and series today. But A Christian actress bravely challenged such thinking by refusing to participate in such scenes and tells that she saw God’s provision for her life after she made that decision.
Madeline Carroll, who played Bart’s (J. Michael Finely) girlfriend in the film “I Can Only Imagine” – If I Could Only Imagine – participated in the 27th Annual Movieguide® Awards Celebrating Faith and Family in Hollywood which came out airing Monday on Hallmark Channel.
She was among the winners of the night and briefly recounted his testimony of how making the courageous decision not to do nudity scenes paid off, demonstrating God’s provision in Hollywood.
Madeline, from Los Angeles, wanted to perform on camera, but without compromising her faith and Christian values.
“Just before ‘I Can Only Imagine’ I quit a TV show because I didn’t want to do nude scenes,” the actress said.
“People would literally come to me, saying, ‘Madeline, that’s all there is for your age, so if you weren’t comfortable with that, I don’t know what else to say, but you’re not going to have a career,'” she added.
However, Madeline was confident that God had other plans for her and later verified that truth. A short time later, she was invited to record the Christian film “If I Could Only Imagine”, which tells the story of the vocalist of the band Mercy Me and was a box office success in the United States and in other countries. She had a prominent role in the feature film.
“The [Dios] He is so faithful,” she concluded as she reflected on her many blessings and provisions. “To God be the glory!”.
For many other entertainment industry enthusiasts, Madeline’s testimony portrays the value of waiting on the Lord.
