Maduro deports journalists who filmed Venezuelans eating garbage

VENEZUELA. – A group of three journalists He was arrested by order of the dictator Nicolás Maduro for having filmed Venezuelans eating garbage. The professionals of Univisión Noticias, a television network in the United States with programming in Spanish, were deported.

The journalists stayed for almost three hours in the Miraflores Palace, the seat of the Venezuelan government. They interviewed the dictator who was upset to see people eating what they found in the trash and ordered that the recorded material and equipment be confiscated.

According to journalist Jorge Ramos, they were released three hours later, but their equipment, records, and personal items were not returned.

On Twitter, Enrique Acevedo, part of the Univisión team, published the video that Jorge Ramos showed Nicolás Maduro.
