CHRISTIANNEWS.COM.- The Christian singer Marcos Witt interviewed the Kendrick brothers, who have created multiple films of faith and will soon release the film “Show Me the Father.”
Alex Kendrick assured that they managed to obtain 17 stories for the documentary and reduced them to the five most impressive, he also said that in them people will find attributes that they will be able to add to their lives.
The brothers indicated that through prayer, God told them to make the documentary on fatherhood.
“Everyone has a story of a father whether it is painful or inspirational. And the Lord uses that window to open the hearts of people so that we communicate not only the truth about Jesus, but also how they can heal their wounds through their own earthly parents and see that God is perfect, Stephen Kendrick expressed.
Marcos Witt said that the story of Mia, the daughter of one of Stephen, caught his attention. The filmmaker commented that she was adopted in China, he added that he told his wife that he felt that God was leading him to adopt, her wife confessed that she had been praying for a year for that to happen .
Stephen said he wrote down the date of the day God put it on his heart to want to adopt, which coincides with Mia’s birth.
Paternity
Alex indicated that the word “father” comes from terms such as “boss”, “source”, “leader” and provider, and assured that he finds it interesting since they are characteristics that define the Lord, he also explained that people must take God as an example of paternity.
Alex said that parents can bless children’s lives by making them believe that they are capable. And he said that his father blessed him and his brother, telling them that they were creative, which helped them carry out his career. And when they told him they wanted to make movies, he began to pray that his children would be successful.
The filmmaker advised parents to listen to their children. Alex expressed that when their children feel loved they will start to listen to them, but when children do not feel loved by their parents they will listen to other people.
On the other hand, Stephen called on the men of the Church to be spiritual fathers to those who do not have fathers.
The filmmaker said that many people who have seen the film end up crying and thanking God for being a good father.
