For Núñez, Christian women can wear pants, and explained that those who believe otherwise are confused about something that appears in the Law of Moses. (See video here).
“The Word of God explains in Deuternomy 22:5 that women cannot wear men’s clothing, nor should men wear women’s clothing. But at that time, men certainly did not wear pants,” said Pastor Núñez.
Likewise, he pointed out: “I believe that from the beginning God has made it clear and demarcated what the male sex is from the female sex. It is not helpful for a young generation to see women as men and men as women. Because it is not proper to the gender that God has given them.”
He also explained that in our culture it was mistakenly thought that pants were only appropriate for men, and therefore some have concluded that women should not wear them.
Finally, he added that: “That woman who wants to visit places or churches and her belief is that she can wear pants, we must accept and we must not be stumbling blocks for them and respect that,” Núñez concluded.
