Miguel Sánchez criticizes Yesenia Then for saying that hell is not active

CHRISTIANNOTICE.COM.- Users of social networks circulate a video-reaction of the preacher and grandson of Yiye Ávila, Miguel Sánchez Ávila, where he criticized Yesenia Then for saying in a sermon that when people die they do not go to hell.

In the video dating from 2020, Sánchez assured that she would not mess with Yesenia’s aesthetics, for which she has been criticized, however, she pointed out that she cannot let doctrinal issues pass.

In addition, the preacher said that he had uploaded a video about Yesenia’s wrong preaching to the networks, however, it was blocked on the platforms.

Sánchez urged Yesenia to learn more about the gospel: “If you have a supposed calling, preach the biblical truth. Before preaching a Biblical truth, prepare yourself, because just as you are saying these nonsense in public, I am going to speak in public…”

Video

Miguel Sánchez posted the video of Yesenia Then where she begins by saying that when Christians die they go to a place of rest and not to heaven.

“The apostle says that we do not die, it is that we sleep until we are awakened at the sound of the trumpets,” explained Yesenia Then.

The pastor went on to explain that people who died with faith in the Lord sleep, adding that hell is not yet active.

Then explained that people who died without faith in God go to a place of torment (not hell).

Response

Miguel Sánchez indicated that hell is active, contrary to what Pastor Then said. «It is that Jesus Christ said it in the rich man and Lazarus. The rich man woke up in torments».

«I do have something clear, the Bible says that hell was initially made for Satan and his angels, but who was it that stayed with the authority of the world after man sinned? Satan. Where is hell? Hell is in the center of the earth.

In addition, Sánchez argued that there are demons that are operating on earth: “Why did Jesus Christ tell Peter: ‘The gates of Hades will not prevail against us, the church? We do not fight with doors that are in hell, it is what comes out of there. (…) Jesus Christ means that there are demons in hell, that there are evil powers that operate from there.

Sánchez maintained that Jesus was the one who most referred to hell, and “spoke of torment.”

In addition, the preacher used the Biblical reference Mark 9:46-48 to explain the existence of an active hell: «Where their worm does not die, and the fire never goes out. 47 And if your eye causes you to fall, pluck it out; It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell, 48 where their worm does not die, and the fire is never quenched.”
