Missing a day in the Universe
ONE DAY LEFT IN THE UNIVERSE
Did you know that a special NASA program in the United States recently verified the truth of a fact in the BIBLE in which it had been considered a myth?
Mr. Harold Hill, president of the Curtis Automotive Company of Baltimore, Maryland and adviser to the NASA program, relates the following event:
One of the most amazing things that God has done among us recently happened with our NASA astronauts and scientists in Green Belt, Maryland.
They were checking the position of the sun, moon, and planets to see where they would be in a hundred years and in the next thousand years. It is essential to know this to be able to send
satellites into space and prevent them from colliding with anything once they have entered orbit. The orbit must be projected in terms of the life of the satellite and the position of the planets must be known so that they do not destroy the satellites.
The computer was made to run through the centuries and suddenly stopped…. The computer started giving a red alert signal indicating that there was something wrong with the information it had been fed or with the results being fed. compared to established standards. They then decided to call the maintenance office to check it out; technicians found the computer to be in perfect condition.
The IBM COO asked what the problem was and to his surprise the answer was: “We have found that there is a missing day in the universe from elapsed time in history.”
They started scratching their heads…There was an answer! In the team there was a Christian who said:
“Once I heard in a biblical passage in church that the sun stood still.”
They didn’t believe him, but since they had no answer they said, “Show us.”
He then picked up his BIBLE and read from the book of Joshua, quite ridiculous for someone with “common sense”.
In this passage God told Joshua:
“Do not be afraid, because I have delivered them into your hands, none of them will be able to resist you.”
Jose was worried because the enemy had surrounded them and if it got dark, the enemy might defeat them. Then Joshua asked the Lord to stop the sun.
And so it happened. And in the Bible it says:
“And the sun stood still and the moon stood still… and the sun stood still in the middle of the sky and did not hurry to set almost a whole day.”
Space Program engineers said:
“That’s the missing day!” Quickly, they checked on the computer going back in time to the time described in the BIBLE and found that it was getting closer, but it was not the exact time span.
The missing period in Joshua’s time was 23 hours and 20 minutes, it was not a full day. They read again in the BIBLE and there it said:
“ALMOST a whole day” (Joshua 10:13). These words in the BIBLE are very important.
Part of the problem had been fixed. However, there were 40 minutes left and this caused a big problem. If those 40 minutes did not appear, there would be large discrepancies in the space calculations because the minutes are multiplied many times in each orbit.
This Christian remembered that there is a place in the BIBLE where it is mentioned that the sun RECEIVED. His classmates told him that he was crazy. However, they allowed me to show them in the second book of Kings, chapter 20: 8-10, where the Bible narrates that Hezekiah, who was about to die, was visited by the prophet Isaiah, who told him that he would not die.
Hezekiah did not believe and therefore he asked for a sign and Isaiah told him: “Will the shadow move forward ten degrees or back ten degrees?”… And Hezekiah replied:
“It is an easy thing for the shadow to decline ten degrees but not for the shadow to return ten degrees.
Isaiah called upon the Lord and the Lord caused the shadow to go back ten degrees that it had advanced on Ahaz’s sundial.
Ten degrees is exactly 40 minutes.
23 hours and 20 minutes in Joshua, plus 40 minutes in Second Kings complete the 24 hours that the men of the Space Program had to add to history as the missing day in the Universe.
DEFINITELY THE BIBLE IS NOT ANOTHER BOOK, BECAUSE GOD MANIFESTS AGAIN THE TRUTHFULNESS OF HIS WRITTEN WORD IN THE BIBLE AND THE LORD KEEPS HIS PROMISES,
HOW ARE WE NOT TO LIVE IN HOLINESS? KNOWING THAT THE COMING OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST IS GETTING CLOSER.
