To strengthen our relationship with God, we Christians are called to take a daily prayer time. The prayer performed in the morning, just when we get up, makes us available to the Lord, who wishes to accompany us throughout the day. By willingly entering the presence of Jesus and expressing our gratitude to him, our hearts are ready to receive his peace and joy from him.
Here are two examples of morning prayers written by great saints, as well as a selection of prayers adapted to different needs.

Catholic morning prayers of Saint Teresa and Saint Francis
Morning prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi or Saint Teresa of Ávila:
“Lord, in the silence of this dawning day, I come to ask you for peace, wisdom and strength. I want to see the world today with eyes full of love; be patient, understanding and sweet, see your children beyond appearances, as you see them yourself and, thus, only see the good in each one of them. Close my ears to all slander, keep my tongue from all evil; that only the words that bless rest in my spirit. May I be so benevolent and so joyful that all those who approach me feel your presence. Oh Lord, dress me with your beauty and that throughout this day I reveal you. Amen.”
Prayer of offering of your day of Saint Therese of Lisieux:
“My God, I offer you all the actions that I am going to do today according to the intentions of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and only for his glory; I want to sanctify the beats of my heart, my thoughts and my works, no matter how insignificant they may be, uniting them to your infinite merits and repair my faults by throwing them into the immense furnace of your merciful love.
Oh my God! I ask you for me and for my loved ones, the grace to fulfill your holy will with all perfection and accept for your love the joys and sorrows of this passing life, so that one day we will be reunited in Heaven for all eternity. Amen.”

How to pray in the morning?:
The morning prayer format is free: it can be spontaneous, recited, sung… If this helps, we can also support each other in already existing sentences: the Catholic tradition is full of beautiful morning prayers written by saints and contemporary, and certain texts and verses of the bible can also help us. We can pray from the chosen prayer, take a moment of silence to let it descend into our hearts and address a few spontaneous words to God.
