MORNING PRAYER TO SAINT THOMAS TO STRENGTHEN OUR FAITH » I believe in God

Dear brothers of I believe in God, may our Lord bless you on this new day, and allow us to strengthen our faith to be closer to him.

All of us on many occasions, due to the problems and difficulties that arise daily, we tend to enter into pessimism and discouragement, even leading us to lose hope, even to the point of doubting the existence of a God.

For those moments of anguish and despair, we bring you this miraculous prayer to Saint Thomas the Apostle, so that through his intercession, our Lord grants us to increase our faith, so that our lives improve and we are closer to God every day.

Say this prayer every time you need the Lord, or for nine days in a row if you have a special need.

In the name of the father, and of the son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen

Dear Saint Thomas, apostle of our Lord Jesus, you who represent the fragility of us humans, who every day resist believing in what we do not see, leading us to doubt even at times, the existence of our good God, in this moment. I ask for your divine intercession, to increase the faith of my heart, and in this way approach and recognize our God.

O Most Holy Thomas! You who were able to touch with your own hands the wounds of the Risen Lord and thus heal the wound of our unbelief, intercede for us so that our Faith, like yours, may be tested every day. I ask that we manage to feel in our brothers the sufferings of the Lord and nourished with your Faith that we announce the love and mercy that made you a witness of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Blessed Saint, you who experienced our weakness and frailty by doubting in the face of life’s adversities and persecutions, help us to touch the wounds of the Lord and exclaim with you: “My Lord and my God”, to recognize the presence of the Lord in all his creatures, and to act in such a way that our faith is alive, because faith without works is sadly a dead faith, but works without faith, I know that they are nothing to the Lord.

Saint Thomas, since the blindness of our unbelief prevents us so many times from appreciating the grace of God, I ask you to grant me, that my faith be the firm evidence of what I cannot see, the certainty of attaining the material and spiritual goods of those that I do not have today and the hope of eternal glory that I long to enjoy. That is why today I trust in the promise that the Lord Jesus Christ himself made for us when he said: “Blessed are those who believe without having seen.”

Dear Thomas, venerable apostle of Jesus, allow me to see the Risen Lord, acting in the midst of the fights in my home, the difficulties of my work, my disobedience, my brothers who suffer from hunger, those who cannot find work today. or they cannot study, of the victims of natural disasters, of social indifference, of inequity, of the corruption of our rulers, of the violent ones, of the arrogance that sometimes makes me humiliate my brothers, of my impatience, of my intolerance and my lack of love.

Blessed apostle, today I ask you to tell the Lord that I am a weak person, who has committed many sins, of which I repent today, but unfortunately they have affected my life and today they keep me in sadness and loneliness, therefore, Today I ask you with great humility, this favor that I need so much:

(Now ask Saint Thomas to tell the Lord your needs to receive his blessed help)

Saint Thomas, you who experienced the mercy of the Lord, who, seeing you doubt, granted you the power to touch him to give us Faith, I ask you to help me, so that in moments of doubt I can also feel my good Jesus, and so himself to be able to see him in the midst of darkness, to feel him in silence and in solitude and to look for him in all his creatures.

Dear Saint, please intercede before my God, so that soon my faith allows me to see the risen Lord, in each of the things I do every day, even in the simplest ones, so that, converted into works of faith, they are a testimony of Christ and the hope that makes us walk each day towards the kingdom of heaven promised by him.

Today I ask for your intercession before my beloved Father, so that in his infinite mercy he helps me to let the seed that he has sown in me grow and that it bears abundant fruit, which I can share with my brothers and thus on the day of judgment, when give accounts to the Lord, I do not have to suffer, having left behind all my selfishness and thus be able to enjoy the treasures that God has given me.

SO BE IT+

Now do the Creed, an Our Father, three Hail Marys and three Glories.
