SYNOPSIS
Calcutta, 1950. A chaotic city full of people abandoned to their fate, sick and poor who wander the streets without hope of surviving. Father Sullivan is sent by the Vatican to collect information on Mother Teresa (Olivia Hussey), the person responsible for the request for the creation of a new congregation dedicated entirely to caring for the most needy in the city. Impressed by her simplicity and absolute dedication to those most in need, Father Sullivan decides to turn his life around by joining Mother Teresa in her hard work and interceding with the Vatican to obtain the necessary permission to create the order of the Missionaries of Charity. . Thus begins the true path of Mother Teresa who will fight against poverty, hunger and disease despite the criticism of those who do not see her work with good eyes. Her sole purpose will be to help those most in need, while avoiding bureaucracy at all times to maintain the simplicity of her initial vocation. A path full of difficulties but that Mother Teresa will know how to overcome with tenacity and dedication to others.
